Priorities for our distict
- Strengthening Public Safety & InfrastructureWe need our neighborhoods to be safe and free from fear. When elected I will do all I can to give our sheriff’s and local police departments all the tools they need to reduce crime and put criminals in jail. Through my term as the OCTA Chairperson, I know we need to continually improve our roadways and plan for the future to eliminate congestion on our streets.
- Expanding Housing and Homelessness SolutionsWe need to partner with all local governments in North Orange County as well as with the development community and non-profit groups to increase the availability of affordable housing for our neighbors, and transitional housing for the homeless. Mental health and addiction services should work with other public agencies and other groups to create an umbrella of services working together to treat the homeless. Those that create criminal issues in our neighborhoods need to be arrested.
- Deepening Support for Families and SchoolsWe need to ensure local control to be able to assess and address the needs of our neighborhoods. Helping to create better local economies, supporting small businesses for better and more jobs.Ensuring safe local schools and having our families to have school choice.
- Protecting Fiscal ResponsibilityWe need to zero in on efficient, accountable, transparent government spending, as reflected in Tim Shaw’s OC Board of Education work maintain $185 million in reserves. We need to get rid of any semblance of financial corruption in the county and be completely financially transparent with our residents.
“I believe in servant leadership, centered on people, not politics. With your support, I’ll bring that mindset to the Board of Supervisors, ensuring Orange County remains a place our families are proud to call home.” Tim Shaw
